- Who can join the board? Any Region 16 participant can
run for a
board position.
- What credentials do I need? Candidates must have an
approved, up-to-date volunteer form on file with the National office.
- What positions are open?
- The Regional Commissioner (one-to-three year commitment)
- Board Positions (one year commitment. Board members are required to
take the appropriate training classes. )
- Treasurer
- CVPA
- Referee Administrator
- Registrar
- Coach Administrator
- Safety Director
- Secretary

How is an RC elected?

Each Regional Commissioner shall be nominated by a majority of the
Regional Board in accordance with the Regional guidelines in effect for
each Region or, in the absence of any such nomination, by the Area
Director. Subject to the approval of the Area Director and the Section
Director, a Commissioner shall be appointed by the Board for a term of
three years. If there are term limitations in the Region's guidelines
that specify a shorter term of office, the appointment shall be for the
term specified in those Regional guidelines. A Regional Commissioner
shall have the responsibility and authority to administer the day-to-day
business of the Region within the framework of these Bylaws,
including without limitation, Section 1.04 hereof, and the Regional
guidelines of the Region. A Regional Commissioner shall maintain close
liaison with the Area Director and coordinate inter-Area activities
through the Area Director.
