Safe Haven is a one-time, life-time
certification. All volunteers, who are working with youth soccer
players MUST take the Safe Haven Course.
Examples of volunteers who must take Safe Haven
include Coaches and Assistant Coaches, Team Parents, Referees and Region
Officials.
Prior to taking the Safe Haven course, you must have a 2010 volunteer
application on file (see New Volunteer in the column to your right). Once
you have done this, you need to obtain your AYSO ID # by contacting our
CVPA, Vicky Cathcart

Now you are ready to take the online Safe Haven course by going to the
National training site by clicking on this link -

All Volunteers must complete a volunteer form -- each
year.
- Returning volunteers. If you have already
submitted a volunteer form for 2010, you'll need to obtain your
AYSO ID # if you are going to be doing any of the online
training. To do this, contact our CVPA, Vicky Cathcart
dvcath@sbcglobal.net.
- New Volunteers. If you have not yet submitted a volunteer application for 2010, you may begin the process by completing an application using AYSO's online service at www.eAYSO.org. If you have never used the system before, click on the First Time button and follow the instructions in the subsequent pages to become an AYSO Volunteer. The system will also provide you the ability to create a profile consisting of your email and a password. If you registered your child online, log onto your eAYSO account and click on the blue button for Volunteers. When you've completed the online Volunteer application, print 2 copies, sign them and submit them to our CVPA, Vicky Cathcart dvcath@sbcglobal.net and then can issue you an AYSO ID number.
- Once you have your Volunteer Form submitted and your AYSO ID number, please pick a time when you can spend a minimum of one hour on the computer, to complete this course. Upon completion of the course, a record of your session will be forwarded to AYSO and you will be able to print out a certificate of completion. Please keep this certificate for your records. Safe Haven is a one time requirement.
